2012 A New Year!

Has any one heard of the 21day habit theory? Dr Maxwell Maltz wrote the bestseller Psycho-Cybernetics.  Originally a Plastic Surgeon, Maltz noticed that it took  21 days for amputees to cease feeling phantom sensations  in the amputated limb. From further observations he found  it took 21 days to create a new habit. Since then the '21  Day Habit Theory' has become an accepted part of self-help  programs. So, if the brain circuits take engrams (memory traces), and produce  neuroconnections and neuropathways only if they are  bombarded for 21 days in a row. This means that our brain  does not accept ?new? data for a change of habit unless  it is repeated each day for 21 days (without missing a day). That being said I'm on day one of 21 days of blogging!

For me the New Year is full of new goals and aspirations I don't do resolutions it doesn't work for me! Everyone is different!

• Finish the pile of unfinished scrapbooking projects
• Keep making progress for the new venture "The Vintage Cat Studio"
• My Etsy and Graby Road Store
• Teaching some classes
• Have one project publish

to name some of my Goals....I prefer to start with some and add to the list little bit at a time....

New Friends in the Studio!

 I just found those shoe form at a Thrift Store, not so old but they have a little bit of history I'm sure!

My Mom found this baby crib the summer she got sick, it was hiding beside a neighbor's shed. I did left it in our garage since she passed away because of the memories it was bringing back. But it's time to move it in my Studio and later on in the new year I will figure out how I will restore it!

Closet clean-up!not by choice

 Not to much damage to the wall! good less work for me!

There is nothing like the sound of a crashing closet at midnight! Hep, thats what happen at my house last night! My husband told me it's because I have to much clothes!Hum, I'm a women, what do you expect! For a while now I was loking at getting a new walking closet, you know like in the magazine, now hum I don't have a choice I have to go to Organize it and have them help me plan a new more fonctional closet!I'm so sad about it! But since is side of the walk-in did not collapse do I have to include it in the renovation????

Jenn at A Channel

This morning Jenn and Emma were invited to AChannel to talk about scrapbooking with kids and scrapbooking in general, it was a nice opportunity for the Scrapbox to get free advertising!

Art Journal

My starting points... So many reasons to my art journal, the girls at the Scrapbox, expressing myself, trying new techniques and products, and creating new skills. But the main one would be to release my anxiety and it works so well, I get in my own bubble and just forget everyting else. Now I worked on more than one journal at a time!!!!! more pictures to come.
